Shayla

Shayla is Gaelic but according to my great uncle who spoke Gaelic and my moms side, who is 100 percent Irish, the meaning of Shayla is "gifted or gods gift, gods little angel". I have seen variants but none are right. Yes they can be artistic or musical because they are gifted. But they are God's little angels and God gifted so you can take many variants from this. As far as it meaning fairy or princess fairy, no. Shay means good or God like.

I have also read that Shayla could be a Gaelic name meaning "From the fairy place," which I really like. I think this is a sweet name! :)
