Comments for the name Shideh

I went to school with a girl named Shideh. Around school, we pronounced it as "shi-day" with the 'i' pronounced like the 'i' in 'this'. Her family pronounced it "shee-deh" with the 'd' very soft, almost a 'th' sound but not quite. I'm assuming the way her family pronounced it is the correct way.
