Personally, I LOVE the name Sparrow! I have been practically obsessed with this name for the last few months. I thought that I had made it up as a name, but I'm kinda glad that I found it here. It will be a beautiful name for my future daughter one of these days!

Sparrow and Robin would be great name for twins, who would obviously be known as the bird twins.

I don't think that this name is too bad for a girl, but definitely not for a boy. In both cases it conjours up images of someone weak, sickly and fragile for me.

I like this name! It's very natural-sounding.

Robin has been in use for a long time, but that doesn't mean that this bird name should be used on people too. If you don't want your child to commit suicide by age 13, you shouldn't use this infantile, bizarre name on them. A boy with this name would have an especially hard time with this name.

I do agree that the name is good and would be great for twins. However, you have the same problem here as Sirius Black. Everyone will think of Captain Jack Sparrow when you call your kids name! *lol*

Well, it could be worse I suppose, you could have three kids and their names could be: Captain, Jack, and Sparrow.

"Little Sparrow" is a song by Dolly Parton. From the song:

Little sparrow, little sparrow
Precious fragile little thing
Little sparrow, little sparrow
Flies so high and feels no pain.

The son of Nicole Richie and Joel Madden ist called: Sparrow James Midnight (born: September 9, 2009).

This sounds stupid as a name. No wonder why Nicole Richie and her boyfriend went for this when naming their newborn son. There are names with similar meanings in other languages. And I also hate the association with the annoying Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

I kind of like it, but it's too "out there" for me to use on a kid. And it reminds me of a bird.

Sparrows are my favorite bird LOL! But I wouldn't call my child that.
Well, maybe, I guess, if I had to.
