Also used in Ukrainian (Стас). [noted -ed] Nowadays it's used mainly as a diminutive of Stanislav, but originally, at least up to 17th century, it (Стас or Стась) was used as a diminutive of Yevstakhiy via its forms Ostap and Stakh.
