I love this name! I also love the variant, Sterra. What a lovely name without being tacky and too common. In my opinion, I would use this first before Stella.

It's indeed derived form the Dutch word Ster, but also from the name Stella, which means star as well.

I like this name. It's very simple and pretty, though I would worry about the name being a little too cute for an adult woman. A nice nickname is Sterretje, which means little star.
