My mother and father gave me the name Tabatha in its more popular year, 1983. The name Tabatha won their hearts after a bible study reveal in Acts chapter 9 where a disciple named Dorcas or “Tabatha” was brought back to life after prayer from the apostle Peter. Tabatha the apostle, was a very beloved woman in the Bible and so, my parents found it fitting because I was their first beloved child. It was also somewhat popular at the time because of the t.v. show, Bewitched, in which, Tabatha was the daughter of witch Samantha. The spellings may vary from Tabitha to Tabatha.
