Usages: English (Rare), Late Roman, German (Rare), AfrikaansPronunciation: TER-sha (English), TER-tsee-ah (German)Meaning: Feminine form of Tertius. In Roman times commonly given to a third daughter as an "informal" name since they generally all bore the feminine form of their father's name, so "numbering" was a means to distinguish between the girls. In modern times, this name was revived in the 1600s and has been in occasional use ever since. The variant Terzia is also found.https://www.linkedin.com/pub/dir/?first=TERTIA+&last=&search=Suche
