The origin of THAKSIN is from the Sanskrit word DAKSHIN meaming, "right" or "south". It became a Thai word through the language Pali in which Buddhist scriptures are written. Both Sanskrit and Pali are languages of India.

I appreciate all countries, and I disagree with you mocking their cultures and naming customs. I don't see a correlation between "Thanksgiving" and "Thaksin". I'll just leave it at that.
