I love this name in English, and I wouldn't mind using it as the first name, but it sounds a bit old-fashioned, even though not in a bad way at all, but rather in a charming, classy, yet totally unpretentious way. This would make a great middle name, though. I don't like the name in Swedish, sorry. It sounds ugly that way.-- slight night shiver 5/10/2008
Is also occasionally used in English-speaking countries, pronounced THORS-ten.-- emmiix3 3/17/2009
Due to bad experiences with children with this name, I can only think of this name belonging to an angry 8 year old who likes to pull down peoples pants and bite them. And his evil tiny dog that bites ankles. >.>
Actually, I like this name. It's strong and secure, trustworthy. It's a kingly name.-- ema_kala 9/24/2009
