Tiarnán isn't an anglicization. It's the Modern Irish form of Tighearnán. Tiarna means "lord" in Modern Irish. (e.g "The Lord God" is "An Tiarna Dia".) "Tigern" must be Old Irish or Middle Irish. It's properly spelt with an accent called a fada over the last a : Tiarnán. [noted -ed]
