I know there is a player in the Australian football league called either Edward Tyson or Tyson Edwards (I think it's that one.) He plays for Adelaide Crows one of my most hated teams and I'm sorry but that puts me of :(.

Tyson is the loveable cyclops character in the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series by Rick Riordan, which is a series of children's books about the Greek gods alive and well and being themselves in the modern world.
This name always makes me think of trashy people. Gee, I wonder why? It strikes me as a name young, immature, not very well-off parents choose for their son because they think it sounds manly, and heaven forbid their son should turn out swishy or anything. So, anxious masculinity in low-class families with parents that dropped out of high school is what comes to mind.
I can understand the trashy image this name can bring, which is why I prefer the spelling Taison. I also like the nickname for it, Tai.
