Ume is also used as a masculine name in Japanese. However, it's more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changed from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine". Some evidence for this is that Ume is also used as a name element in masculine Japanese names such as Umehiko and Umehito. I've never met anyone named just "Ume" and just a few named "Umeko" and those I've met by that name are kind of on the older side (senior citizens or close to it). I guess it would give the same image as someone in North America named Mildred or Phyllis or something.
