Violeta Barrios de Chamorro (born October 18, 1929) is a Nicaraguan political leader and publisher. She was the forty-eighth President of Nicaragua from April 1990 to January 1997, and the first (and as of 2006, only) woman to hold that office. Chamorro was the second woman elected in her own right as a head of government in North America (behind Eugenia Charles of Dominica), and the first in Latin America.

Violeta Riaubiškytė-Tarasovienė (born 25 August 1974) is a famous Lithuanian singer and show host. She used to be the co-host of a Lithuanian music show "Penktadienio muzikos šou" (Friday Music Show) alongside Edmundas Kučinskas, and the co-host of a music show "Padainuokim!" (Let's Sing!) alongside her husband Vilius Tarasovas.
