Comes from the old Anglo-Saxon, and translates as "the wild one".
Wilda is also used for girls in Sweden, an alternative spelling of Vilda. They are both pronounced the same "VILL-dah". "vilda" means "wild". Vilda can also be a short form of Alvilda.
