The original Hebrew form of Eve is Chava, and Xaawo makes a lot of sense with that in mind. The Hebrew Ch is the equivalent of [X] in IPA, which is similar to the English H sound but more aspirated. And V and W sounds are interchangeable in many languages, so I can see how the name would end up spelt like this even though I don't speak Somali.
The X in Somali is pronounced like H, so you pronouce Xaawo like "Haawo".
