Sorry to rain on everyone's parade, but I in fact utterly despise this name. Its good qualities are nil.

Hate to rain on YOUR parade M. Anonymous, but I love it. I like greek names, and names that sound like they could be greek. I like the meaning, and I appreciate the unusual spelling.
Very cute name! I'm not sure it would be the best to grow up with though. I can see Xylia working till your twenties, but can you really see an adult named Xylia? Its something I would think twice about before using it.
I love Greek names and names that start with X, but don't you think the 'ia' part is a bit too busy? I'm not exactly sure how to pronounce it. Someone care to enlighten me?
This name has a really neat sound to it. I love Greek names, and X is one of my favorite letters for names, since it's so rare to find a legit X name. I also some of the other variations on the name, Xylona and Xylina.
I noticed that somebody has this name pronounced as "ZEE-lee-ah" - I would have thought that with the "Xy" beginning, I would think it more likely to be pronounced "ZAHY-lee-ə"
Either way, this is a name that is sure to cause a lot of confusion.

I bet if people discovered this name, or if a celebrity used it on their kid, people would go crazy over this name instead of the terrible trendy names.
Beautiful, but I agree with the above comment that it sounds like a brand name.
I really love Xylia, it is so unique and gorgeous - I pronounce it ZY-lee-ah, 'Zy' like 'My'. However, whenever I post it on polls, most people usually don't like it... I think it's really cool that it comes from a Greek word, and that it starts on an X. Xylia is so creative and I love it. I also like the variations Xylienna (zy-lee-ENN-uh) and Xyliana.
