Yoshiro Yokomine is a Japanese politician of the Democratic Party of Japan, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet. A native of Kagoshima Prefecture and high school graduate, he was elected for the first time in 2007. He is the father of professional golfer Sakura Yokomine.

Yoshiro Okamoto is a Japanese politician of the Liberal Democratic Party, a member of the House of Representatives in the Diet. A native of Tokushima, Tokushima, he graduated from the University of Tokyo in March 1967. He then joined the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which is now part of Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. In June 1997 he also received a Ph. D in agriculture while still in the ministry. He left the ministry in the following year to run for the House of Representatives in the 2000 election but lost. He ran again in 2003 and was elected for the first time.

Yoshiro Okabe was the only Japanese assistant of Thomas Edison. He worked at Menlo Park from 1904 to 1914. After returning to Japan, Okabe made the short sound film Katyusha using Edison's kinetoscope. He died in 1945 in Kobe in a U.S. air strike.

Yoshiro Muraki was a Japanese production designer, art director, and costume designer. He was nominated three times for the Academy Award for Best Art Direction for his work in the films Tora! Tora! Tora!, Kagemusha, and Ran. He was also nominated for the Academy Award for Costume Design for his work in Yojimbo. He is most well known for his collaborations with director Akira Kurosawa, having done work on all of Kurosawa's films from Record of a Living Being onward, with the exception of Dersu Uzala. He was married to Shinobu Muraki.

Yoshirō Mori is a Japanese politician who served as the 55th Prime Minister of Japan between 5 April 2000 and 26 April 2001. Described as having "the heart of a flea and the brain of a shark," he was an unpopular prime minister mainly remembered today for his many gaffes and situationally inappropriate actions. He is currently President of the Japan Rugby Football Union as well as the Japan-Korea Parliamentarians' Union. In 2014, he was appointed to head the organizing committee for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Yoshiro Maeda is a Japanese mixed martial artist who currently competes in DEEP's flyweight division, and formerly fought in DEEP's bantamweight division, the latter of which he is a former champion, recently losing the title to Daiki Hata who is still the reigning champion. With a professional career spanning 10 years, Maeda has competed in notable Japanese promotions such as Pancrase, PRIDE FC and DREAM, as well as the WEC in America.

He has worked for the Tōkyū Agency, Asatsu DK, and NAS, and he currently works as a full-time advisor at Marvelous Entertainment. Yoshiro Hayashi was a Japanese golfer. He turned pro at the age of 16 and continued with 12 post-war wins. Hayashi was considered one of the big top four Japanese golfers along with Isao Aoki, Masashi Ozaki and Akiko Fukushima.
