Celebrating 10 years!

There are two reasons I created this site. First, I wanted to put something on the web that was unique. As far as I know this was the first site on the internet that was quite like this when it was created in 1996. Second, etymology is a hobby and linguistics has always interested me.

The ultimate goal is, of course, to create the definitive website for learning about given names. There's still much work to be done!
