My latina coworker pronounced her name, Mary-ah-nah. We live (and work) in the U.S.

I'm from the Midwest in the USA, and I pronounce it mar-ee-AH-nah.

I'm with some other posters here. If it was spelled, Marianna, I'd be more inclined to pronounce it like Mary Anna.

I've known several girls named Mariana and they've all said Mary-ahna (with a short A so it sounds like the word "on") or mah-ree-ahnna. I live in the US in an area with a high percentage of Hispanic and Latino people.

I say: Marr-ee-AHN-na (Marr rhymes with bar)
However, most people I know say it like "Mary Anna". I like the other way better.

From USA, though I should say that I also use many Italian phonetics when I speak, since that is what my family speaks. I resisted the urge to trill those 'r's though. ;)

My step-mother might say it like mary-anna unless you corrected her. She is Pennsylvanian (back-woodsy).

I'm not good at explaining how I pronounce things but I say it like mahr (rhyming with are)-ee-AHN-uh.

mair rhyme air, awn rhyme yawn and sounds like the word "on" in my accent
I'm from the US, west coast.
It could also be pronounced -ANN-uh (ann rhyme plan). But I would expect -ana to be AH-na (or AW-na, same to me) and Marianna would be AN-na.
I could also say MAHR-ee-AHN-uh, but I would not intuitively say it that way. That seems more like a foreign pronunciation.

I'm from the US. Mar-ee-ANN-a. The first syllable sounds just like the word "mare" and the third syllable sounds just like the name Ann, and the third syllable has the most stress.
