[Opinions] What are at least 10+ other names you think you could identify as that aren't legitimately connected to you?
Inspired by Mary R.'s Poll on if you had to rename yourself. I think if I wasn't me this would be the lineup of what I could see myself as: Andrea
Audra
Audrey
Bette / Betty
Bridget
Catherine
Claire
Dawn
Delilah
Dora
Ella
Flora
Gretchen
Helen
Ingrid
Jacqueline
Jane
Jennifer
Joanna
Jodie
Kate
Lara
Laura
Lillian
Lilith
"Lizzie" Elizabeth
Madeline
"Maggie" Margaret
Mary
Rita
Rose
Samantha *in full not Sam
Stella I think I most identity with Catherine as I have expressed previously. And yes, I know I identify with boring names. What about you? Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.

I guess pretty much any 2-syllable ending-in-ee nickname that I like. I would pick a longer name for legal papers but go by the nickname.Lily (Lillian or Elizabeth, but Elizabeth is already my name)
Sophie (wouldn't choose it because it's too common but I think it suits me)
Sadie (Sarah)
Ellie (I like most El- names)
Elsie (Elspeth, perhaps)
Annie (Annabel? My parents considered Anastasia, but I only like the a-nuh-STAH-zee-uh pronunciation)
Charlie (Charlotte)Also:
Lola (used to pretend this was my name when I was little)
Hazel (a book character I relate to)
Rose or Rosemary (I like it and I have a sentimental connection to Rosemary)
Ivy (I think it suits me)
Clara (I think I could pull this one off)For cooler, "better" versions of myself:
Piper
Liora
BeatrixETA: My (Russian) girlfriend thinks: Anna, Kira, Alina, Ksenia, Arina, Lolita, Amber, Leah, and Bex.
I don't like Lolita or Amber but the others I agree with.

KatrellI feel like I'd be fine with lots of names. I know previous naming threads, I listed others/more, but I can't seem to find them. Tova is a pretty consistent one. Araceli was the name I picked in Spanish class, but realistically, I probably wouldn't pick a name that was more than 3 syllables for myself; although I wouldn't hate Antonia, Octavia, Ariovalda, or Elizabeth either, for example.

I was Evangelina "eh-BVON-hell-lina" in Spanish class, because I lack subtly and nuance. My classmates were your standard Jorge, Jesus, Maria and Carmens lol

I did think about this a lot so here are the names that almost made it but lost to a name that was already connected to me:Joanna (I still almost regret not going with this one, I just feel like I would make a great Asia)
Lidia
Ada
Noemi (not anymore really, but it was a very strong contender at one point)And that's it, I think. I could vibe with loads more names but these are names I seriously considered for a legal name change. This means that names that are just "wouldn't mind if I was already named this" didn't make it and that list would have been very long.

I feel like I could be a Joanna too, she just feels like a "me" personality. Like a warm and intelligent and practical woman.

I’ve always said Katherine bc it’s close to my actual name, though not related. Not Katie though. I’m not a Katie.Rebecca
Laura
Olivia (mostly because this was almost my name)
Claire
Julia
Emily
SallyI could also see myself as a Jennifer or Whitney, though I wouldn’t want these names. They would be time appropriate as I was born in 1985. The other names I listed would have been feasible at the time in my hometown and considering my own ancestry. I couldn’t throw in Mary or Virginia because my mother is Jewish and she’d never have picked them, though I do think I could be either.
