[Opinions] Re: Some names on my mind :)
Elaina - No particularly strong feelings, but it is quite nice and elegant.Agnes - A buried gem. It's the perfectly balanced 'old' name. Mature, but not dreadfully antique. Classic, but not musty. Firm, but not harsh. This is an 'old lady' name that needs a comeback.Ruby - It gained some popularity over the years, but I just never gelled with it. It's juvenile and incomplete to my ears, there's not a lot of substance. I love ruby jewels and the imagery associated, but when turned into a name, something is lost. It somehow becomes dull.Aubrey - I feel nothing strong for this one. Not love, not hate, it's just there. The B in the middle comes out a little nasally and muffled when I try to pronounce it. I have a slightly higher preference for Audrey instead.Nevaeh - This one gets hounded on a lot, but it's perfectly inoffensive to me. Perhaps a smidge tacky at worst, and it's not something I would choose, but I feel it's perfectly usable should anyone feel inclined. It does have a dynamic sound that is enticing, even if the 'eh' at the end leaves something to be desired when it comes to spelling (though yes, I am aware it's heaven spelled backwards, so the 'eh' is necessary to make the whole thing work.)Sydney - Never truly understood the appeal of this one. The sound isn't particularly pleasing to my ears, nor is it fun to say. I usually end up accidentally saying Cindy.Heaven - I do love the enthusiasm and imagery, I understand the thought process someone would have, but personally I can't really see this as a solid name on a person at an individualistic level. Feels less like a personal name and more like an aspiration. A little too on-the-nose. I prefer Haven on a person.
