Top 3 Boys Names, plus Revised Top 3 Girls Names
Replies
Isaac James is very nice. Ramsey Alexander somehow just doesn't sound right. Oh, I know why! Brandy Alexander, the drink, and a longtime radio "personality" calling herself Sandy Alexander. It has that rhythm to it.
Julius Richard just strikes me as weird.
Ivy Luna is too cutesy, like a fairy or a little bug or something.

Revised Again!
Rosemarie Nicole*
Laurel Jane*
Ivy Lee* Therese*
Isaac James*
Spencer Joseph*
Jesse* Julius
The fact that all the boys have J mns is completely coincidental. Everyone was honored except for me, so I wanted to get myself in there, plus I really love Jesse. It's just the way it worked out. And really, how often will my potential future children be called by their first and middle names out loud all at the same time?

I think Laurel Jane and Isaac James are the best choices - not only do I think they're great combos but obviously you love them a lot too if they're the only ones that have remained unchanged across both lists ;)
I prefer Ramsay to Spencer but love Jesse. I think Rosemary Nicole has a nicer flow. However 'cutesy' it is, I prefer Ivy Luna to Ivy Lee Therese (too many "ee" sounds in one combo)
If I could tweak the combos a bit I'd suggest...
Rosemarie Luna
Ivy Nicole
Jesse Alexander
Julius Ramsay

I'm not the biggest fan of Nicole either, but I figure it's a middle name and it's honoring
Admittedly true! I'd just wonder if there might be a prettier form of Nicole that could still fit as honouring. Still, as a middle name, it could be worse and either way it wouldn't really matter out of the name-nerd community.
AH! I love it! I'm so psyched my SO is suddenly so open to talking about names. I'm so happy with our set! Now I just need to have six kids and make sure they're evenly divided by gender because I'm in love with all these names.
Isaac James - this is my top boys combo too! Wow how strange, James honours my close cousin and although I was toying with Henry in the mn spot for a while James eventually won. It goes without saying then that I find it absolutely charming and wonderful.
Ramsay Alexander - hmm I'm not sure how to view this one, I feel like Ramsay should appeal to me but I'm finding it difficult to like. Also I dislike the repeating "a" sounds in both names, for me the combo doesn't flow perfectly.
Julius Richard - sorry I can't take Julius seriously because of my associations with Julius Caesar, Richard feels standard in the mn spot but I would feel better if it was Julius Richard.
Emilia Rosemarie - This is nice though it is not exciting me much, I prefer Emilia to Amelia and prefer Rosemarie to Rosemary so I find both of those pleasing.
Laurel Jane - sorry but I find Laurel dated and Jane boring (hence plain Jane), but since it is honouring I could make an exception.
Ivy Luna - I like both names and I have put them together myself in the past, however because they are both two syllables I find that they don't compliment each other at all. Ivy Rosemarie or Ivy Emilia / Emilia Ivy are nice.

I'm pretty attached to Isaac James and all my girl's names. Ramsay is one from my list that my SO liked and Julius is one of his favorites. Any suggestions for a different mn for Ramsay?
I also felt like Ivy Luna needed something a bit more. Perhaps an additionall mn? Any suggestions?
ETA: SO has suggested Ivy Lynn Luna. I'm not a huge fan of the double Ls though

We decided on Ivy Lee Therese, as Lee honors his mother, and Theresa honors her mother. He's not a fan of three middle names, but he likes Ivy Lee Therese. And I don't mind it either, so Ivy Lee Therese it is!
Also, I was able to convince him to let me have Rosemarie as a first name because all our other girls names have honoring mns. I slyly suggested Rosemarie Nicole (his name is Nichols) and he paused, scratched his head, and said, "Well, I suppose if you like it." So Our girls are now: Rosemarie Nicole, Laurel Jane, and Ivy Lee Therese. I'm kind of in love.
I couldn't get him to agree to Ramsay Julius, or RJ at all, so we might just take Ramsay out because we need a nn.
