Isabelle, because Isabel looks choppy.
Claire, because Clare looks masculine.
Catherine, because Kathryn is only two syllables and Catherine not only is more traditional (a good thing), but I pronounce it a bit differently.
Kay, because Kaye makes me almost want to say kay-ee.
Evelyn, because I do not like Aveline at all.
Sarah, because Sara looks incomplete.
Mark, because this is how it is spelled in an English-language Bible.
Luke, see Mark.

Kathryn or Catherine - Catherine, Katharine but not downmarket Kathryn.
Kay or Kaye - Kay. The -e is redundant.

Isabel. I prefer this one by a lot. Isabelle looks stupid to me and I can't put my figure on why.
Claire. Clare is good too, I only slightly prefer Claire.
Kathryn. Catherine is good too, I just prefer Kathryn. Katie and Kat seem more natural as nn's for Kathryn plus I want to pronounce Catherine with three syllables and Kathryn seems like it should be two syllables, and I prefer the two syllable pronunciation. Also I love that Kathryn is the medieval spelling and it is the way that Captain Kathryn Janeway spelled her name in Star Trek Voyager. Plus I know the most awesome little girl ever and her name is Kathryn or as she calls herself "Johnny of the West". :)

Aveline. These are different names, Evelyn is pronounced differently than Aveline. I prefer the look and pronunciation of Aveline. Evelyn seems a bit old ladyish and dated but Aveline seems fresh, awesome, and it is unusual.

Isabel; I think Isabelle looks much too modern and trendy for my tastes and the e makes it tacky in my opinion. Isabel makes me think of European queens and refined beauty and grace. And though I could never personally use it I think it is a beautiful name. Along with the name Sibeal.
Claire; by far it seems refined and genteel. Clare just reminds me of stablehands for some reason.
Kathryn or Catherine, either but I do NOT like Katharine, I do like Kathrin/Cathrin however.
Kay; Simple, it seems more like a nickname for a longer name like Kathryn or Kaitlyn or a middle name to me. I couldn't understand someone naming their daughter just Kay.
Evelyn; this was actually my great grandmother's name and one of my top favorite female names. I do not like Aveline.

Mark; one of my top favorite boys name and tied with Joel for my favorite Biblical name, I detest the way Marc looks.
Luke; a good enough name. The Luke I know is a quiet and reserved bad boy, so I can't really see this name on anyone else now.
Jack; simple and common yet still cute. I know an adorable little boy named Jack with brown hair and eyes that makes your heart melt.
Niamh; it looks much more sweet and is the correct way to me. I think the other ways aren't as cute and lose their appeal.
Sean; I don't really enjoy the name either way.

Isabelle - it looks more feminine than Isabel.
Claire - it's more elegant.
Catherine - it's more elegant.
Kay - the E in Kaye isn't necessary...
Aveline or Evelyn - I like both & don't see them as the same name, but if I really have to choose one it's Aveline, it's less popular.

Isabel or Isabelle = Isabel because it's short, sweet, and simple. I probably prefer Isobel though and Isabella more than all of them.
Claire or Clare = Claire reflects better my pronunciation and I had a friend in primary school who spelt it this way, it's the only spelling that I've known and I think it looks better.
Kathryn or Catherine = Kathryn, I like the nickname Kate, I think it looks better than Cate. I would never actually use Kathryn or Catherine.
Kay or Kaye = Kay, I don't really see the need for the extra e.
Aveline or Evelyn = I pronounce these differently. (Aveline = AYV-lyn or AYV-line. and Evelyn = EV-lyn or EEV-lyn). I prefer Evelyn as seperate names.

Clare -- I like them both, but this spelling looks "cleaner".
Catherine -- Looks very sophisticated.
Kaye -- I like the E at the end. I also prefer Faye over Fay (but Fae beats them both).
Evelyn -- Mostly because I'm not sure how to pronounce Aveline. AH-ve-leen? AH-veh-lyn? ah-veh-LEE-neh? What? (edit: I see it's supposed to be ah-veh-LEEN. It sounds a bit awkward to me.)

Catherine - not a fan of Y spellings, although I prefer Kathryn over Kaitlyn
Kay - I feel like Kay was the original name, and the e was tacked on to make it look like a variation on Faye
Aveline - Evelyn sound sort of boyish to me, and I'm not a fan of Y spellings
Sara - Sara(h) is so bland to me, but Sara is redeemed a little by The Little Princess
Mark - I'd name a son Mark as a full name, but Marc if it was a nn for Marcus or Marco
Luke - I live in an English speaking country, not a French one
Jack - ditto Luke
Niahm - isn't the spelling Niamh? Anyways, I much prefer Irish spellings to anglicized ones

Celine - it gives a more refined, elegant feel than the slippery-smooth Selene

Isabelle - It just looks prettier and more pleasant to me. Reminds me more of a pretty little girl rather than an old miserable woman.

Neve - Living in Canada, I think it'd be cruel to deviate that far from English/French pronunciations.
