Re: Spelling
in reply to a message by Isis
Isabel or Isabelle - Isabel, less frilly
Claire or Clare - Clare, I've got somehting against Claire, the vibe it just wrong
Kathryn or Catherine - Catherina, I'd always chooce a C over a K for this one
Kay or Kaye - Kay, though Kaye look more femine, it still has a useless letter attached to it
Aveline or Evelyn - Aveline is more soft and interesting.
Sara or Sarah - Sara, no point to the -h and Sara looks fine without it
Marc or Mark - Normally Mark, but for personal reasons I'm still gonna say Marc
Luc or Luke - If you're an Enghlish speker: Luke, If not: Luc.
Jack or Jaques - Jack has my preference. But if you want Jack pronounce in sny other what than in English, I'd suggest using Jaques.
Niahm or Neve - Neve, sounds lovely at a lot easier to have as your name as Niamh.
Shawn or Sean - Shawn. I have a weak spot for this spelling alteration. And it's hard to grasp for me how Sean doesn't rhyme with Bean...
Celine or Selene - Celine
Kristina or Christina - Christina
Alan or Allen - Alan (Allen means "All" "Everybody" in my language.
