Mallory is the first thing that popped into my head.

In my family a couple of boys named Reinier all died too young. It's the only name I'd not actually use solely bc it 'feels' unlucky.

I don't usually think of names as lucky or unlucky, but there are names with poor associations that I would feel extremely unlucky if I was stuck with them for instance: Dolores (meaning sorrow), Lolita (famous fictional abuse victim), Delilah (meaning weak, languishing and a famous hooker), Jabez (meaning borne in pain), etc..

I don’t believe in luck, good or bad, but one branch of my family tree contains a family where they named a son Henry (after the father) 3 times and lost the baby in infancy three times. Finally they gave up and named the next boy Harry instead, and he lived to a ripe old age!
