I know only few things about it.
A famous bearer is the fictional character Sigourney Howard (The Great Gatsby) and then the actress Sigourney Weaver.

I think it is too strongly associated with Sigourney Weaver because the name is unusual, and I don't remember the Great Gatsby character being a prominent figure in the book. It sounds cool, but I think the association is too strong.

I just think of Sigourney Weaver (which is not a bad association). It seems like it would make a good name.
