Re: What would you think
in reply to a message by Olwen
Brutally honest (forgive me):Francine -- parents are devout Catholics and wanted a more "1940s retro" version of Frances.Bridget -- I wouldn't really think much, to be honest. Bridget is a good, normal name that will age well. Alma -- parents are devout Mormons and have named their daughter after their 93-year-old great aunt. Sunny -- open minded parents with an appreciation for nature. The kid is lucky to have this name. Hilda -- the baby is from Germany, or is of German descent. The name was chosen to honor an older relative. Tristan -- Millennial parents who wanted to be trendy without being overly so. They also don't care much about name meanings.Walter -- probably named after his great-grandfather, or has a number like IV or V after his name. Lake -- hippy, nature loving parents who gave him a nice creative, gender-neutral name. Probably Sunny's brother. Ari -- Jewish parents who drew on their heritage to name their child. Kid has a good name. Cormac -- Scottish parents (as in actually born and raised in Scotland), wanted to honor their ethnic heritage with their child's name.
