Claudia -- wealthy, educated parents who wanted her to have an elegant, sophisticated name. They succeeded, but didn't bother to check the name's meaning.
Maureen -- named after her grandmother.
Billie -- is it short for anything? Wilhelmina? Willa? Billie on its own seems incomplete.
Cosima -- Brooklyn hipster parents with an impeccable taste in names.
Philomena -- very devout Greek Orthodox parents, likely born in Greece itself. I'd assume they named her this for religious reasons.
Duncan -- named by suburban American parents with vague Irish roots. Cute name.
Rufus -- Brooklyn hipster parents who put a lot of thought into this. Cosima's brother.
Percival -- Hipster parents who tried too hard. The baby has a cool name, but will unfortunately be bullied for it. Let's hope little Percy is resilient.
Collin -- Doesn't really bring anything to mind. This is a good thing in a name. I would wonder if the parents were honoring a family surname because of the unusual spelling.
Lucian -- Named by open minded, progressive parents with fluid views on gender. Well named.
Axel -- Swedish parents, or American suburban parents trying so hard to be Swedish.
