Re: Clara for a little dog? What would you call a dog?
Clara is lovely! My parents actually have a chocolate cocker spaniel named Clara. They were going to name her Daisy but then I put Clara out there and it stuck. I could picture Morris on a brown shaggy dog.I have an 8 year old black and white cockapoo named Mia Belle. I was living at home when I got her (my parents bought her) and I had to pick a name my mother would agree to. At the time she wouldn't agree to anything unusual or different. I like Mia and Belle on a pet, however. They seem a bit cutesy, short, and trendy to use on a child for me. It also fits her now. I also have a red & white w/ blue eyes 1 1/2 year old pomeranian/husky mix named Leonidas. Which def. reflects more of my style! If I were to name a dog now I'd do something a bit more magical sounding! My SO and I would like to get a female pom/husky mix or a full husky in the (far) future. I have a list of ideas for her:
Anouk
Anwen
Arabella
Arianwen
Blossom
Eira
Fauna
Gwyneira
Lumi
Lyra
Meadow
Nephele
Nymeria
Primrose
Sapphire
Selene
Serafina / Seraphina
Tulip
Winter

So glad I'm not the only one thinking of Clara as a good name for a dog. Daisy is lovely too tho. The kind of dog I want is very fluffy, so I think Morris will fit quite well. I love your dogs names. Mia Belle feels classic, while Leonidas feels more uniqe. Both names are really great. I especially like Arabella, Eira, Lyra and Selene from your list. Eira is actually my cousins name, so I couldn't use it for a pet. But it is a lovely name.
