I wonder if it's because people don't use the book as often now that the internet is available instead. So maybe it's losing an association that kept people from using it before.

could be ...And if so, if we follow that logic, we should start expecting to see little kids named Thesaurus and Dictionary and Encyclopedia. lolI know I've heard of at least one dog named Atlas and think there's probably a ton more.
When we took our cats to the vet the other night, we saw a bunch of the pets belonging to the staff; most of them bring their pets to work with them and they hang out in the exam rooms. One of the doctors has two Bernese Mountain dogs, a puppy and a young adult. They are ginormous, gallopity, shaggy and very friendly. They looked like they ought to be named Atlas and Hercules or something. But they were Fenway (complete with a Red Sox bandanna) and Potter.
