Question about comments
Why after searching some names, some have comment sections while others don’t? Can I correct that on a name that was just submitted/edited?

Hi !!!If a name is in the Main Database you can comment pushing the botton 'contribute'.If the name is submitted edit it putting the name in the line 'correct a name that already exist'.If you have a name that miss also among the submitted names so submit it with the comment you find right XD

If there's no comment section, it's because no one has commented yet. The section generates when someone makes the first comment. I don't know what you mean by, can you correct it. If you have something useful to say about a name, you may click the Contribute button and add a comment. If you just want to add a comment for the sake of creating a comment section, don't.

I ask because when I went to comment on a name there was no place or apparent option for me to do so. It only says name submitted. I updated the information and tried to comment again to no avail.

Are you trying to comment on a user submitted name? If so, that's not possible. You can only comment on names in the Main Database.

That answers it I suppose. So why the disconnect? Why are there two separate databases? Can I add a name to the main database?

You must have reliable etymology sources that you can send to Mike and submit the name to Mike to be added to the database.
