Ethel or Adele - Both. I like how old fashioned and pretty Ethel sounds, but I also like Adele, but prefer Adelaide.
Gabrielle or Gabriella - Gabrielle. It sounds more mature, plus its Coco Chanels real name.
Estelle or Stella - Estella is my favorite, but Estelle. Stella seems to be the most common, which I don't like.
Alexander or Alessandro - Alessandro. It sounds like the name of a handsome, mature Italian male.
Sophia or Sophronia - Sophronia. Sofia and Sophia are way to common lately.
Ursula or Ursuline - Ursula. I just think of Ursula Buffay.
Oonagh or Una - Una if its the US. Oonagh looks like a creative spelling,
Harvey or Hervé - Harvey, probably.
Hugh or Ugo - Hugh. Its a nice name.
Theodora or Dorothea - Dorothea lately. It sounds much less like a forced feminization of Theodore.
Sunshine or Soleil - Soleil. Although I like Solange.

Hi !!!Ethel or Adele: Neither
I would prefer Ada to them.Gabrielle or Gabriella: Gabrielle
It is much more elegant.Estelle or Stella: Stella
I love it! It is in my top5 for a future daughter!Alexander or Alessandro: Alexander
It is more modern. Alessandro became boring.Sophia or Sophronia: Sophia
Although it is so boring it has a better meaning imo.Ursula or Ursuline: Ursula
Ursula is much better. I also like Orsola and Orsolina.Oonagh or Una: I don't know
Oonagh is more stylish but also complex.
Una is simplier for me but..it is the same spelling of the feminine undefinite article so...no. Harvey or Hervé: Harvé
Harvé is lovely. Harvey is too similar to Harry.
Hugh or Ugo: Neither
I prefer Hugo.
Hugh is snobbish while Ugo is one of the worst Italian names TTTheodora or Dorothea: Teodora
I prefer Teodora (Italian spelling) because it remember me of the Byzanthine Royals. Dorotea is too long, I prefer just Dora.

Adele
Gabrielle - I just barely prefer this name. My sister Nicole almost was named Gabriella, then a few years later we had a cousin who was named Gabrielle.
Stella - Although I almost love Estelle as much. Oddly I much prefer both to Estella which feels a little off to me. I really love the name Maristela.
Alessandro - Alexander is really nice but too over used. Compared to both I prefer Alejandro pronounced the Mexican spanish way.
Sophia - Although I prefer the spelling Sofia.
Ursula - Ursa is also very pretty.
Una
Harvey - Sadly unuseable at the moment, I've always liked this name but Weinstein and the recent hurricane have ruined it.
Hugh
Dorothea
Soleil
Felicity
Massimo
Kathryn - I prefer Katerina to both.
Margaux - I just barely prefer this spelling. I prefer Margaret and Margareta to Margot/ Margaux.
Marguerite

Ethel or Adele - Adele, reluctantly
Gabrielle or Gabriella - neither; at gunpoint, Gabrielle (shorter)
Estelle or Stella - Stella, all the way
Alexander or Alessandro - Alexander, nn Alec
Sophia or Sophronia - Sophia, pronounced soFEYEa
Ursula or Ursuline - Ursula; prefer Ursel
Oonagh or Una - Una, for Spenser and because Oonagh looks like vomiting sounds
Harvey or - Harvey; I've heard some horrendous pronunciations of Hervé
Hugh or Ugo - Hugh, and I might use it
Theodora or Dorothea - Dorothea, but preferably Dorothy
Sunshine or Soleil - neither, even at gunpoint
Hilary or Felicity - both are nice; Felicity is nicer
Massimo or Massimiliano - er ... just Max, actually
Ekaterina or Kathryn - Kathryn, but preferably Katharine and realistically Katrina for its comparative rarity
Margaux or Margot - Margot is less pretentious
Marguerite or Margaret - Margaret, and I might use it
