I know a girl with LaChelle as a mn. I think it’s soft and feminine but I’d spell it Lichelle.

Not a fan of created "la" names. The sound is not unattractive, but I'd just as soon use Michelle or Rachelle if I wanted the shell sound.
Lachelle feels very narrowly dated to the seventies. It's also, in the US, pretty decidedly considered a "black" name, and those tend to date very quickly.

I don't like it at all.

Cheap and nasty. La is a silly prefix and Michelle is still a perfectly good name, if a bit dated. But rather have that than play games with a language not one's own.

I’m really not a fan of ‘La-/Le-‘ names, aside from Letitia / Laëtitia / Latisha / Leticia. The rest just seem trendy, made up, and dated to me.

"The shell?"Honestly, it looks like someone tried to turn "the shell" into pseudo-French (actual French translation would be la coquille) in order to appear fancy. Both Michelle and Rochelle are miles better.

It reminds me of Coachella somehow, like a name a new age hippie / raver would call their child! It does have a bad sound but I prefer Michelle, Rochelle, Chel, etc.

It seems a bit dated. I would expect to see the LaSomething naming convention on somebody in their 30s or older. It does have a pretty sound, but I prefer names with history and meaning, rather than only being a collection of pretty sounds. Just a personal preference.
