Last names as First names?
What are some last names used for first names that you have seen/loved/hated?? I know in the South part of the U.S., many people give their mothers maiden name as first names. Let me know what you have seen! Thank you!! :)Rate my PNL! :)

you hit it on the head with the mother's-maiden-name-as-a-middle, because there's a vlogging family on YouTube (Cullen & Katie), and Katie gave their son her maiden name as his middle. They're from Alabama.Aaaaaaaaanyway...I've seen:Bennett
Brooks
Camden
Carson (a friend of mine named her DAUGHTER this)
Cullen
Everett (I actually saw an Everhet once. Gahhhhhhhh!)
Fletcher (a favorite musician's middle name)
Harrison
Harper
Jackson
Kinsey (but spelled Kinzee *eye roll*)
Landon
Mackenzie
Sloane
Walker

I'm not a big fan of surnames as FNs, especially those trendy -ayton and -ayson ones. However, there are some I like:Willoughby - for either gender
Romilly - girl
Harlow - girl
Brooks - boy
Wellington - boy
Wells - boy
Monroe - either
Emerson - either
North - either
Montgomery - boy

In Sweden it's not allowed to give surnames as first names. The only one I like is Marlowe, which I also like for a girl, strangely enough.

Although haven't heard it before, I hate McCoy as a first name.I like Elena, Miranda and Elizabeth for girls.
and Winston, Jamison, and Davis for boys.

My little boy is named McCoy Thomas. Its a very polar reaction... people either LOVE it or they HATE it! LOL their isn't much in between! Its a family name for us and it suites him. It will be interesting to see how it grows with him. We have a friend from Alabama who named his son Macoy... after a dear friend of his who passed away. I like Davis for a boy! I actually know an affluent family in Dallas who named their daughter Davis. Kind of interesting! Its the momma's maiden name.
