Thank goodness they weren't triplets, the last one would just have been called Ick.

Call me crazy, but I don't think Maverick and Erick for twins is THAT bad. They're not names I would choose, but they don't bother me that much. Banksii, on the other hand, is pretty bad. Denali is a name I don't think I will ever understand, but it's not terrible. Wiola? Ew.

Erick and Maverick are unexpected!
It would actually be punnier if it was Mave and Erick tbh. ;)I actually like the sound of Denali and think that tons of "Native American words" are used as names these days, so it doesn't surprise me. Wiola is pretty and aesthetically goes well with Denali, though I admit, I would never use the combo myself (or suggest it).

This is an Australian family, so using native American words here is not super common!

I'm going to assume they're honoring someone named Eric(k) and weren't very creative with it. It's rather awful.I don't enjoy Denali but isn't the worst name ever. It's infinitely better than Banksii. I dislike Wiola.

Pretty dumb twinset. Erick, spelt Eric or Erik, would be ok actually.

I like Erik, but not spelled Erick, and especially not paired with Maverick.
Banksii is really bad. If you want to honor Banksy that badly, at least spell it correctly.
Denali Wiola isn't too bad, but I can't say I like it. I know Denali is a mountain, but it reminds me of "denial".

Maverick is every kind of awful and even worse as a twin to ErikI'm assuming little Banksii & Denali's parents are gardeners

Hi !!!I dislike matchy names for twins and this is the latest exampleof this fact.I dislike Maverick while Erik (this form) is ok.A twinset called i.e. Kenneth & Erik would be better imo.Banksii and Denali Wiola?
I dislike this style and I have no ties with these names. But CONGRATULATION to these parents and new babies !!!!

I like Erick as a name in and of itself, but paired with Maverick it seems repetitive. Also I can’t see Maverick as a name or even nickname — it’s just a word being used as a name because it “sounds rebellious,” but in a conformist way. Wiola is nice. Denali is not, especially not on someone who has no ties at all to Alaska. Denali also isn’t traditionally used as a human name.

Its even dumb on people with ties to Alaska, tbh. Its mostly used on dogs up there and every once in awhile someone names their kid Denali and pretty much everyone else side-eyes it.

Huh, I never knew that. That would explain why I knew someone with a husky named Denali.
