Thanks for reminding me of a name I should have added to my list long ago! I have always loved the name Eos. It's so beautiful! I pronounce it AY-os.

I do like it. I think it's elegant and a little off beat. Not sure about the lip balm connection. I pronounced it EH-ohs.

I'd pronounce it ay-OS. It sounds a bit too much like a character from a fantasy novel for my liking, but I don't hate it. Reminds me of Io and Aeon/Eon.

I immediately think of the lip balm brand but it is very ancient Greek so I can see the appeal, same as Io or Atlas or something. Ee-ohs. Long e, long o. But I know a lot of people in England would say ee-aws, to rhyme with moss.

For a girl, I adore it because, in Greek myths, Eos was the name of the goddess of dawn. For I boy though, I would not rush to it as quickly. Hope this helps:).

Hi !!!I think that both Aura and Aurora makes it too strange compared with them.I love Mythological names but in this world they are too quirky unfortunately..first of all if they are not in the 'establishment'.I love names related with light-theme and I'm a big fan of Aura and Aurora abd many others so I really like it anyway. The pronounciation is AY-os or ay-OS (Italian and... Greek too I guess).

It's interesting. I think I wouldn't like it very much as a name for a person.
It could start sounding too much like "yes," from my lazy American tongue anyway.
I would pronounce it to rhyme Ross and moss and cross. EE-awss.

Um...no. Here in the States, and I don't know where you live, but Eos is a brand of lip gloss, so I only associate it with that. Sorry!
