Re: Undecided names
Girls:
Addison - girl, because I just can't picture it on a guy. Like it, but not enough to use.
Dakota - girl
Delaney / Delani - girl
Everley / Everly - G to the I to the R to the L, cuz if she was a boy, it wouldn't work so well! :D
Hadley - all-girl
Harper - girl, but I don't like it bc "harping"
Hollis - girl, because of the "Holl" part, like in Holly
Journey - girl, but only as a GP
Quinn - girl; never liked it on boysBoys:
Amery / Emery - it used to be a GP of mine for girls, but now I think it's better on a guy.
Blaise / Blaze (was always boy until I seen it in a book for girls) - it's DEFINITELY all-boy!
Caden / Kaden (seen on both and was intrigued) - boy
Cameron / Camryn - Cameron for a boy, Camryn for a girl, although I prefer the first spelling, so boy.
Devin / Deven - Devin for a guy, Deven for neither
Drew - G to the U to the Y, all the way! I don't care how popular Drew Barrymore is.
Easton - um...how is this unisex? It's a boy name!
Finley - boy, although I used to love it on a girl (what the hell was I thinking?!)
Hayden - I used to love it for a girl, and even used it on a character in one of my stories, but that was five years ago. It's all-boy now!
Jaden / Jayden - boy and boy; I do like the spelling Jadyn for a girl, though.
Justice / Justus - I can only picture it on a guy, so boy.
Lane / Laynie - I hate both of these, but definitely guy name for Lane
Linden - not my favorite tree name; boy
Orion (was always boy then seen in book for both) - yep, still always boy
Parker - I used to like only for girls, but now I totally prefer it on guys!
Paxton - boy
Ryan / Rhyan - when I was in second grade, I was friends with a girl Ryan (I think her parents thought she was supposed to be a boy, cuz mn Stuart! lol), but I was young and dumb then by thinking it's fine on girls; boy
Zane (was boy then seen it in a book for both) - boyBoth:
Avery - both
Carson / Karsen - a friend of mine from high school named her daughter this, and I was like "oooooooooookayyyyyyyyyyy..." lol (not to her face, though) But now I'm starting to like it for girls, so both.
Emerson (seen on both) - both; prefer it on boys, but it's a GP for girls
Jordan - both! I love this name. :)
Kennedy - both, but slightly prefer it on guys
Micah / Mika - prefer it spelled Micah, but I like it for both (girl GP only, though)
Morgan - both
Payton / Peyton - Peyton for both genders; Payton looks tacky, imo
Presley - neither; another surname-as-first-name I don't like
Riley - both, but I keep going back and forth on which gender I prefer. Right now it's girls.
Rowan - I think it's adorable on both!
Tyler (I know both) - boy, even though I, too, know a girl Tyler (she was a friend I met on a One Direction message board)Neither (because I don’t like them):
Bellamy / Bellamie - ew, neither! I like surnames-as-first-names, but only if they're ESTABLISHED first names. This one isn't, imo.
Galen - um...I wouldn't really use it at all...
Jamie - too nicknamey; neither
Kia - haha neither! It's a CAR!
Kona - never heard of this name, so can't judge
Reese - neither; it makes me think of Reese's cups.
Waverly - neither~~~~~*formerly Veronica86*PNLs:
