Re: Critique these 10 girl combos
Amelia Anne: love Anne, dislike Amelia; plus, the -a A- runs together. I'd prefer Anne Amelia or, especially, either Anne Emily or Emily Anne.Scarlett Noelle - rather too Christmassy for me. Scarlett always seems cheap, and I prefer Noel for a boy to Noelle.Kennedy Michelle - Kennedy doesn't happen where I live, and I'm not complaining. I prefer Michele - probably just because I've got two friends who spell it that way, one of them French.Olivia Allison - same -a A- problem as Amelia Anne. I like Olivia a lot and love Alison, but the two-l version isn't as good-looking.Ava Amor - Ava isn't a fave; seems flimsy. And Amor is, frankly, nasty. Why not Amanda?Addison Paige - Addison is a nonsense, and I have the misfortune to know of a Paige whose ln is Knight; so, no.Skylar Rayne - Skylar doesn't happen where I live, so my only association is with regret at the dumbed-down Dutch; and since it appears to refer to the sky, the addition of a misspelt Rayne is unfortunate.Peyton Elizabeth - makes me hear 'patent leather'. Elizabeth is a brilliant mn! Peyton is nothing in particular.Brooklyn Giselle - I live in one of the many Brooklyn places, so it's just a place to me. And Giselle is such a romantic, rural, doomed heroine that they really seem too different.Chloe Monroe - this one looks amusing because of the identical -oe endings which don't rhyme. Chloe is an excellent name, and Monroe ... I'm just not in tune with lnfns; I'd rather see Chloe Marilyn!
