I think it looks attractive but would be a tricky name to have, because it would be mispronounced a lot. The only Catriona I've known pronounced it kuh TREEun uh, with the third syllable very short, so that it was almost the same as Katrina. She didn't like it much and was always called Cat. I have an Australian relative named Kerrin. She was born when Karen and Kerry were popular so I'm guessing that in her case it was a creative spin on those, but we have an entry for it here:
