Emmaline Vs, Emma
Which do you think flows best with Catherine? Do you think Emmaline is too unusual, especially if I would just use Emma, anyway? I am going to legally change my name next year, and I am finalizing my decision this year. Thanks for your help!Top names:Girls: Catherine and Grace
Boys: Daniel and Liam

I like Emma better regardless of the middle name, but I think especially with Catherine, Emma is better. Can you give us hints about your surname? How many syllables and what vowel-sounds it contains? I know it's not one of your choices, but Emily Catherine sounds best of all to me, if that was ever a consideration. But it also depends on your surname.

It begins with H and it is three syllables. There is a prominent C to complement Catherine in the combo.

I always think that Emmaline is a mistake for Emmeline. But, if you'll always use Emma, which is shorter and more convenient, and certainly flows much better with Catherine, I'd just take the easy and obvious way out.

I think it'd bother me a little that Emmaline and Catherine end in the same three letters, even though they don't actually rhyme. I don't think Emmaline's too unusual (though I'd say that about most names), but there's bound to be people who are unfamiliar with it, and the pronunciation's ambiguous, so that's a factor. Having to explain it could get annoying.I like the sound of Emmaline Catherine more than the sound of Emma Catherine.
