Re: Top ten name opinions-girls!
Emma - It's my name. Kinda cute, but pretty basic.
Olivia - Sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. I think it's overdone but it does fit some people well.
Ava - Also overdone. I like Eva though.
Isabella - Not bad, but I prefer Isabela because it's less frilly.
Sophia - I want to like this name because of the meaning but... nope. It's too frilly/girly (and also sounds kind of muffled).
Mia - Cute as a nickname but too short for a full name IMO. Also I've been somewhat turned off of Mia and Ana because they also mean personifications of eating disorders.
Charlotte - I like this one. It's kind of frilly but also has a grandmotherly feel (but that doesn't mean it feels like an old person name).
Amelia - Meh, I prefer a lot of similar-sounding names like Emilia, Aemilia, Amelie, Amalie, Amalia, etc.
Evelyn - I don't think this should be coming back yet! It still sounds dated to me!
Abigail - I like it. It has a sort of sweet-but-rustic style. "Abby" is overrated though, and almost nobody goes by "Abigail".
I find it strange that most of the top names are very girly except for a couple of tomboyish names like Harper and Riley (Really, Riley is #25 for girls? I've never met a female Riley, and the only ones I've heard of are one TV character and one YouTuber...) and then the list goes right back to the floofy girly stuff.
