Abigail - This was difficult because I like both, but Abigail wins over Annabel because it has one standard spelling and isn't a combination of two names.
Adeline - I don't like either of these names, but I'd hate to have grown up with "laid" in my name.
Cassandra - Similar to the previous choice. I wouldn't want the accented syllable in my name to sound like "pee."
Cecilia - I just prefer the sound.
Eleanor - I've never understood the appeal of Elodie. And Eleanor is stately and awesome.
Elizabeth - Elisabeth seems like you're trying too hard and it lacks the zing of the 'z.'
Freya - Francesca sounds like a low-rent attempt to be fancy. Freya is cool.
Isobel - Isabella may be overused, but at least it's a great name, and Isobel is even better. Isla sounds like half a name to me.
Lily - I would prefer Linnea without the accent mark.
Margot - I'm torn because I also really like Marianne. And the spelling Margot does remind me of ergot. But then I don't like Mary Anne, and Margot isn't a combination of two names, so I guess it wins.
Persephone - I just prefer the sound.
Rosalind - It sounds less diminutive than Rosalie.
Vivian - I like both, but I'd rather not name a girl after a flower.
