Are these characters living in the same time period as the Alcott sisters or are you writing a contemporary story?

They live in the modern-day United States. I have thought of their parents possibly being lovers of literature. And yes, it is a contemporary story.

Well you could use the same initial as original name, use the original name as a middle name, or use completely new "classic" vibe names or you could use "modern/trendy" names.
