Re: Some names for an October baby
Susannah "Annie" - it's nice. A little weird since Susie seems more natural, but doable.
Annabel "Annie" - meh. Annabel is a tad prissy IMO. I used to like it, until I had to say it aloud in real life, and then it seemed prissy.
Anna "Annie" - this seems like the best one to me.
You'd check your state, I guess, but #54 is pretty rare in my experience. Names don't start appearing common imo (like, 2 or more per 400 kids) until they are ranked above around #25.
Katherine "Kate" - this may not be charting high, but it feels so done to death, to me. Headed for mom-name territory.
Eliza - meh. Not exactly traditional IMO, more trendy. Elizabeth "Beth" would be more traditional
Virginia - I like it. I hate that other people see "virgin" in it. To hell with them. But because of them, it's more middlenamey.
Louisa - if only it were pronounced Loo-ISS-a and not loo-WEEZ-a, I'd like it. But I don't.Do you like Ruth?Edwin / Edward (my dad is Edwin) - middle name material imo - since, when you have it on a list with Jack and Tom, it just pales.
John "Jack" - that's the best, imo. Shameless. Like Annie.
Magnus - I like it too, but it's cool on paper, a little droll irl. Daughter has a friend Magnus and they tease him (in a friendly way, not like bullying, they tease all names - but still, they notice it's like the magn- words)
Thomas - the other best one. But Tommy / Tom / Thom for a child, because Thomas is stuffy.Do you like Dean?- mirfak
