Do you like the name Diane?
I really like the name Diane a lot. It has a sweet, pretty, cheerful sound to me. Diana is a lovely name, but I've always liked Diane a bit better for some reason. Do you like it?

I actually do like the name Diane. I have a good friend that spells it Dianne.

Diane is a tired corporate lawyer who falls in love with a farmer in a film about the magic of Christmas.

I hate it!The last Diane I met was a crotchety old lady who always talked in a screechy tone. She was the cleaning lady at my old apartment, and she and I got on like a cat in a thunderstorm. She criticized every last thing I did wrong, even if it was just a tiny little spill on the floor of my room - "WHAT'S THAT MESS ALL OVER THE FLOOR?!" she'd demand. Ugh... I HATED her!

I like it, but I think Diana is better. I would use Diane as a middle name if it flowed better.

It's fine, but I far prefer Diana

It's fine. I don't think it's been out of vogue long enough to warrant a comeback yet, though.

I love how 70s it sounds. I like Dianna too but only spelled with 2 Ns.

I like both, but I think Diane's friendlier.

I prefer Dione.Like the moon. I know it’s a completely different name, but I really like it. Diane is too dated, and I don’t care for Diana.

AgreedDione is less common and doesn’t sound like "Die, Anne". Plus, it’s from mythology.

Dione is really cute. I like the Dee-aw-neh pronunciation. It is much fresher than Diane.

I like it. To me, it seems a tid bit dated, but I think it is due for a comeback. I really like the association with the goddess Diana.

I think Diana is beautiful, but Diane is decidedly not. I don't know why there's such a big difference between these names to me, but Diana seems elegant (though admittedly not stylish at the moment) and Diane seems drab, banal, forgettable...

I also like it and prefer it to Diana, but it's kind of common for me.

I like Diane more than Diana, because of the pronunciation. I also like Damien more than Damian.
