Sweep by Cate Tiernan first came out in 2001 and is about a group of teenagers in Widow's Vale, New York who discover "magick" and become practitioners of wicca (particularly Celtic-based), which the book presents as real magic. I was a teen when the series started so I devoured it, and it's still a favorite - and very much influenced my taste in names, I think.
