What's a good way of spelling "wil-hehl-MEEN-ə"?
I like both pronunciations, but there seem to be only phonetic spellings of the "wil-ə-MEEN-ə" pronunciation of Wilhelmina, like Willamina and Wilhemina, whereas "wil-hehl-MEEN-ə" has none that I know of. I was wondering, is there any good way to spell "wil-hel-MEEN-ə?" I was thinking of Wilhellmina, but "hell" stands out too much.

Just keep to Wilhelmina

Unpopular opinion, but I definitely prefer Willamina.

Definitely Wilhelmina. I love that name, and this was the name what popped into my head as soon as I saw the subject title.

I think Wilhelmina works just fine. I love it :)

Agreed. Anything else would look a little silly. What would it be? Wellhelmeena?

While writing the original post, I never thought that Wilhelmina, unchanged, would be a good spelling, but maybe it is. Where I'm from, Wilhelmina would never be pronounced as "will-ə-MEEN-ə," so thanks.

It’s really hard to emphasise that “hel” syllable. As you say “hell” would stick out too much in the middle. I don’t think there’s a lot you can do except emphasise it verbally.
