At least that's what I've heard...This site lists Ryo as meaning "excellent". I've read an SF story, however, in which a Japanese woman names her spaceship Ryo because (she claims) it means "dragon".Say, with a name like Hiroshi, aren't you Japanese...?

I'm not Japanese, and Hiroshi isn't my real name, its a pen name, I have no asian ancestory what so ever (Mostly england and whales, and a little scottish, and very little german.) I am going to try to learn japanese, I'm very interested in Japan. I'm going to look over those names again. Also, I've seen Ryu (Not Ryo) meaning Dragon.
