Re: My name
Hola Zunilda, According to my sources, Zunilda means "the brave protector". It is of
German origin and a variant of Siglinda.
However, being Latin in origin, another possibility that I like better is that Zunilda might come from the word "Zunil" , in the Maya - Quiché language: TZU = "tecomate" (jar of clay) . and N´IL = Sound of music. This is an instrument that the Mayas still play. Translated to English, Zunil means "clay whistle". So *maybe* Zunilda means "From de sound of a clay whistle/flute" .....??? So, I might be stretching it a bit, but who knows??... maybe I am right after all :opHope this helps y buena suerte,
Magia.
