About all that can bea said of any of the meanings given in this thread is that they all appear to be wrong. Zunilda does appear to be of Germanic origin, but the meaning is probably indeterminate. The suffix would be Hild "battle, lethal combat", but the first element is obscure, it could be from Tun- "enclosure, court" (not an unusual theme), or Dom- "law, right, authority, condition" (normally -tum in High German, but affixed forms are known in the form Zun-). The changes from T and D to Z and from m to n are regular occurrences, especially in Germanic names passing through a Romance filter.
